Initial 16-Hour CCW Course for Riverside County – This comprehensive course is tailored specifically for Riverside County. This course will meet all the necessary 16-Hour Initial Training required by Riverside County during your CCW process.
Non-Resident CCW’s are being issued in California to any citizen of the United States that qualifies. Citizens of foreign countries do not qualify. Students can take their Part A Lecture via Zoom. The Part B Range Course will need to be in person. Applicants must go through same criteria as Califonia citizens. This will include; 16 hour Initial course, oral interview (via zoom), 3 persons of reference (does not have to live in CA). Applications with all instructions will be found on the Sheriffs department website.
This course is mandatory for obtaining your initial CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) License. Topics include safety, marksmanship, liabilities, stance, statistics, the path to choosing a defensive handgun and caliber combination, and much more. This course includes a written and shooting evaluation and is our basic level defensive handgun course. This is offered at least twice a month. Class time will allow for 2 Handgun to be qualified. To qualify additional handguns, please look to the CCW Handgun Qualification Class. CCW course is good for Kern and Riverside counties.
WHAT TO BRING TO THE COURSE – (Available at your local Turner’s Outdoorsman, adjacent to the The Training Center)

2. 150 Rounds of Range Approved Ammo, Per Handgun
3. Eye and Ear Protection (Electronic Style Preferred)
4. Holster (worn on a belt), either inside-the-waistband (IWB) or outside-the-waistband (OWB).
5. Magazine Carrier
6. Two or More Magazines or Speed Loader For Revolvers
7. Notebook & Pen
